Had water push back up through radiator cap the other day while using the tractor. Let it cool down and was fine until it got hot enough again. Took out thermostat and filled with water then started it to see if water was moving through the system - no movement. So a bad water pump was assumed. I removed the water pump, but I declare I can't "see" anything wrong with it. No chipped/broken fins, it wasn't leaking, bearing doesn't seem to have any play in it. Has always ran just fine and had good anti freeze in it. Is it possible that the pump is bad even though it doesn't look to be? Any suggestions?
