My fan shroud is red and the rest are black (good call Rustred - My starter and gen were replaced so they are now black and should be red). Now go buy a book by Guy Fay called "Farmall Letter Series Tractors (Originality Guide)" and you will love it! It tells you all this stuff and even more details. It will even tell you where the decals go.
Here is a link so you know what you are looking for. It wasn't $397 when I bought it more like $30. It was a little pricey but it was a hardcover with a TON of pictures.
