Hey guys i no this subject is beat to death i have a 1948 Farmall H just rebuilt water pump 2new seals 2 new bearings i got 2 pks of packing which i put in both packs shot a couple shots of grease in its been several days now i have a leak around packing nut i tightend nut a little at a time now its bottomed out can;t tightend any more Ive heard you guys talk about graphite string which i went and bought i no i have to take out packing nut out which i can do while still do while on tractor how many wraps should i wrap around shapt then after each wrap push it then wrap more never usd graphite string thanks for all the help.
