Originally the 350 would have a few more HP and several small improvements over the 300.
In the last 55 years, odds are good the 300 has had its engine rebuilt with "overbore" pistons so its power is on par with the 350. Some of the other improvements may have been incorporated, but none of them are anything you can live without.
The basics are all there on both tractors: Live hydraulics, live PTO, TA (when you fix it).
On the fast hitches, the "improved" fast hitch on the 350 really isn't an improvement at all. The older style hitch on the 300 has held up over time much better because it doesn't have so many wear points.
IMHO pick whichever one is the best value for the money, or whichever one you like the best.
