Drained the oil on a non-running M and noticed the pick-up was touching the bottom of the pan. Went ahead and pulled the pan to clean the gunk out. The pick-up moved up and down easily with the tube on the pump body. Is it supposed to float with the oil level or be stationary? Seems like it could loose some suction unless it is secure in the pump body?? Also, is there any tweaking (part replacement, etc) that should be done to the pump since it is available? Thanks, JD
