You probably have a fast hitch on your 300. The hydraulic cylinder for the hitch obscures the drain and check plugs that are on the left hand side of the LPTO unit.

Original service manuals called for two quarts of SAE 10 motor oil for the LPTO. After Hy-tran was developed, it became the recommended lube for the LPTO.
