Tom Fleming said: (quoted from post at 04:04:00 01/28/12) I absolutely agree with what has been posted. On the lighter side, each set of rear steels might be worth around $300 each here in PA. The flathead V-8 is becoming harder to find, so that is another $300. Still some parts left on the old girl add another $300. Scrap what is left, maybe around $150.
Add it up? $600 for wheels, $300 for engine, $300 for parts, $150 for scrap = $1350 MAX! If you are willing to part it out.
As an F-14 it is worth $0. As a Funk conversion, it is worth $0.
IMHO.
I think you nailed it pretty good.
Funk is still in business and I believe either owned by JD, or associated with them in some manner... they build JD transmissions in Coffeyville, KS and I think they still build other gearboxes.
