Hi, cannot comment on gas engine as only familiar with D-179 Diesel. The first thing to check is the parking brake and foot brakes. If someone drove the tractor with parking brake on the chewed up parking brake band bits could be all through the hydraulic system, however if it happen many years ago the bits should all be filtered out by now.
