The Rocket governor is an aftermarket high performance governor still available today. It is mainly used in rpm limited tractor pulls because it will run at 1650 rpms while a factory governor will only run at 1450 rpms or so while under load. They are also about $300-$400 dollars or so cheaper then rebuilding your origional governor if it is shot.
