Put the wheel over a five gallon bucket with the seal/bearing side down that you want to remove. Use a long punch and LIGHTLY give the bearing cone a tap or two from the other side, then move the punch about 1/2 inch on the cone and repeat the process. Continue until the bearing cone and seal come out. (You can remove the bearing cup the same way if it needs to be replaced, but that will take more than a light tap or two.) The seals are not too expensive, so if it looks bad replace it when you repack the bearings. Dust seals are a lot less expensive that new bearings. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
