The first gear on the SMTA, 400, 450 are the same and there is no factory low-low first. However, a 560 gear set will fit and the owner can create his own low-low first. I have done it on a SMTA. I also swapped in the Farmall 560 ring and main shaft w/pinion for another reduction. When those reductions are combined with the TA low range, first gear is about half of the SMTA, 400-450 first gear in high range.
Tractor also has new 15.5 x 38 tires on new 14" rims, a pair of front wheel weights, a pair of frame weights, and five sets of rear wheel weights but it still won't out pull my 660 w/Elwood which is heavily ballasted too.
