Morning David, evening here at Ariah Park. I would suggest that if the TA won't work when the indicator light comes on, your MCV pump is not delivering enough pressure. High range depends on oil pressure to engage the clutch pack. For it to slip in low range usually means the Sprag Clutch is out to lunch. The only bearing oil pressure has on low range, is to lock up the engine braking clutch, not to drive in low range, with any sort of load behind the tractor. The fact that it won't drive at low revs. is, in my mind, more proof that the MCV pump isn't delivering enough pressure. Kits are available to rebuild the MCV pump, and any I've done have always improved the TA and steering at low revs. If SDman is cruising by, he could answer this query a whole lot better than me, in half the time.Regards, Redfan. Ps. Have you started harvesting yet, David.
