check the constant run gears for missing teeth. you can usually tell by listening for a knocking in the trans in all gears except fifth. they can also be seen by removing the belt pulley delete cover. the gear toward the back of the tractor is the one you want to check along with the one below that it meshes with. if those gears are bad it's a big job to fix and would be very expensive to have done at a shop. its about two full days work if you hurry.
