I am currently putting new bearings and seals in my Super C transmission and have run into a couple of issues I am trying to remove the spline shaft and according to the IT manual, I am suppossed to remove the pin from the reverse gear. Do I use a punch to remove the pin? What do I replace the pin with when I re-install the shaft? On the lower shaft, the nut on the front came loose and popped a hole in the Bearing retainer. That explains why there was hardly any oil in the rear end when I pulled the plug. Where can I find a replacement bearing retainer? IH doesn't make them anymore.
