Mufflers with the original specs and sound will be offered sometime in the spring by Carter and Gruenewald. There are NO mufflers currently being sold with the original sound, including OEM. As far as the original mufflers in the 50's that were on the tractors that I drove -- they are largely responsible for my deafness. I have 2 reproductions from Marks Tractors (whereabouts unknown) that have the original sound. It is the sound I remember from the 50's, but regardless of what anyone says they were not particularly quiet. Those mufflers were straight through with no baffles, as I suppose the new ones will be also. I will buy one or two from Carter and Gruenewald when they become available.
