I have an engine that reportedly came out of a Super C whose remains were in the weeds.
The block (354898 R1; date code 9-6-W; no SN) appears not to be cracked or welded. It was seized. I was successful in removing 2 pistons; then 2 pistons with sleeves.
I'm considering new guts for the engine. Here's the best I can measure/determine regarding the engine, pistons and rods:
Block bore: 3.615 Sleeve OD: 3.565 Sleeve ID: 3.175 Piston OD: 3.185 at center of piston; 3.165 at top of piston
Piston PN: 4079 (IH) Rod PN: 30926 DD X 68
It appears evident to me that some of my measurements are off, no matter how many times I measure.
