I can't figure out why eBay doesn't like shill bidding? It happens everyday at auction's, where the owner has a individual bids on items that aren't bringing what he wants for them.
A good example was in 1984 when my dad had his farm auction. My uncle bidded on our Farmall 400, because my dad just had the tractor overhauled, and new rear rubber. It only brought around $600, and my dad wanted to get $1500. My dad did up selling it 6 months later for $1500.
