yes - washer is really only there to be bent up and keep the nut from spinning off.
But on another topic - I see an oil spot below your left rear final drive (left to the driver). Looks like the seal's leaking?
Maybe it's just parked there coincidentally -
But but figured I'd add that I had a leak like that, until I realized the transmission was overfilled. With the correct level of trans fluid,they shouldn't leak like that, no matter how bad the seal is. The oil level shouldn't reach the seal. (they take a suprisingly small amount of trans oil)
Not to say it shouldn't be fixed at some point, but for me it was a relief to be able to put it off and stop leaving oil spots everywhere.
