The axle units on each side of the BN are 4 inches shorter than those on the B. hence the tractor is 8 inches narrower. The BN uses the same length units as the Farmall A uses on the right-hand side. The A has no axle extension on the left-hand side. The BN seat support attaches to the end of the axle as in a Farmall A whereas in the Farmall B the seat support is 4 inches inside the end of the axle.
