I mentioned this in a different thread a couple of days ago, and thought I would post a specific one.
For those of you who like and own the F series tractors, you have probably dealt with or know of Rice Equipment in Clarion, Pa. Well, Gordon has finally decided to retire. He was an IHC dealer for many years, and when he closed his dealership, he decided to specialize in pre-1939 IHC parts. Gordon and his son Joe bought out the inventory of many many closing IHC dealers across the country. His son Joe, specializes in letter series, 1939 and newer parts. For those of you who personally know Gordon, he is just one he11 of a nice guy and has unending knowledge of F-series tractors.
I went to visit Gordon this past summer and chewed the fat for over 2 hours. Everyone will be happy to know that he is in resonably good health for his age, and is doing fine. He joked with me that he is a bit sad about retiring, but is looking forward to NOT getting up and going to work in the cold warehouse/store in the frigid north central PA winter months.
Rice Equipment is still open for business and will be run by his son Joe. Joe's storefront is Joe's Farmall's and Rice Equipment will also remain a storefront as well.
I wish Gordon all the best, and am thankful to have known the man and call him friend.

I said that I would be interested, and was wondering what his next step was. (Although I was talking under my breath, since I thought of this some years ago) My friend, Arlyn Lamb of Lakeville, Minnesota was sincere in his miss
