While my father was still alive he had me replace entire manifold and gaskets because of bad threads on exhaust where pipe threads in. I just happened on another C with same Carter UT and found it did not have a adjustment screw on bottom front of carb like mine. I has a factory looking plug instead. How about it.. anyone have a carter ut or know what goes in this "hole"? I believe there should only be one adjustment on this carb and someone "plugged" this with a screw from another carb or something. I do know that the farther I back off this screw the better it will run. I think I'll try plugging this and see what happens.
