Have 706 diesel. Steering wheel turns easily either direction as many turns as you like without turning front wheels. Doesn't matter if engine is on or off although it has some assist when on. Will eventually steer when warmed up and moving but still doesn't work well even then. Changed hydraulic fluid last summer, poor steering condition existed prior to that and has gotten steadily worse with time. All other hydraulics work fine. Do not see any fluid leakage from hand pump. The orifice valve appears to be clean but did not take the MCV off the tractor to look inside. Any good ways of testing before having to replace parts?
