The low side is dependent on two clutch systems. The primary clutch for Low TA is a sprague clutch (One Way device that stops reverse motion of the TA gear set) THis is failing on your tractor it works with a load, but is iffy and failing under partial load. (this is typical of a sprague clutch) The second clutch is a locking clutch that prevents free wheeling in low TA. It is a multi plate hydraulic clutch pack that is not intended for load rated strength, just for keeping it from coasting. It may be OK, but should be checked for specifications when replacing the TA sprague clutch. The direct clutch is working or it would have no direct drive. Jim
