Had a key stuck on another application, never could get it out. Finally resorted to cutting it off flush with the shaft, and then grinding out the remains with a Dremmel Mototool, using the little cutoff blades. Done carefully, you can make a very fine cut with that tool, and match your new key almost exactly.
