I don't know about the Earthmaster and how many shanks a 4630 can pull, but a good friend that I have worked for in the past has a 4640 that he bought new in '78 or '79 and he pulled a 8x18" plow and 25 1/2' Krause Flex-Wing disk. I spent many hours in that tractor back when I had time to help him disk wheat stubble. He still has it and it, it's been overhauled one time and still does a lot of work on his farm. He now plows and disks mainly with a NH 4x4, but the old JD still works on a regular basis.
