strength of 140 farmall

I have the bedders, sweeps, and cultivators, but I need a disc harrow. My farmall is 3 point hitch so I tried my brother-in-law's disc off of his massey-ferguson 135. It was 1200lbs and too much for the lift on the Farmall 140. I'm thinking about a 5ft wide disc harrow, what weight should I get? Agri-supply advertises a 689lb. 5ft. disc and I just want to make sure I don't overload the tractor.
