I would have the battery checked to make sure it is ok. Could have a bad cell. You can check it yourself if you have a hydrometer. Should read around 1.250 after you charge it. If one cell reads 1.100 you have a dead cell.
Clean all those battery connections until they're shiny. That includes where your battery is grounded. If your battery is 6 volts you should have 00 battery cables with soldered ends.
You should be able to hand crank that tractor to start it. Hal
