A Cub will barely handle a 42 inch mower, while an A will play with a 5 foot mower. Heck a SA will run a 6 foot mower. You will get a lot more tractor for $500 less if you buy an A. Here in western, pa the A's with hydraulics go for $1000 to $1200, while the non hydraulic ones go for about $600 to $800. The non hydraulic A I have , I bought with a 5 foot Woods under it for $1200. I have been running it for 2 years now and only put fuel in it.
