It would not work well without this linkage. It looks like you have the main part as the valve is the important part. I would try to find the remaining linkage at some salvage yard. Look at a tractor with the rod style likage installed for reference, (early models had cable you don't want that). Other wise the decent way to make a good hitch system is to replace that teledepth valve with a regular valve like the other valves, which is not a two minute job though.
