Broken cranks just happen.. Some designs such as the Cub (C60) and the A-240(C113 or C123) are known to break.. After extended use these things just happen.. My cousin had a 450 that was used everyday since new, and 3 years ago while running an auger the crank broke in the rear main.. We just tore down our cub to overhaul it, and found that the crank in it was also broken on the rear main..
