You can change the PS control valve and see if that is it. But I had the same problem - where mine would not turn right....after working on it for many and many more hours, I finally figured out it was the spring. It is a job to take it all apart, and mine had a load on it and made it even more difficult. If it is just the spring, let me know and I will send you one....I have extras.
