The previous guy has the wiring all messed up. The coil is running straight off one of the gen outputs with a diode wired in before the coil and the other gen wire runs to the "bat" terminal on the regulator.
I think I am figuring out how to get it fixed correctly, if I have a gen, 12 v batt, 12v coil, and the regulator, do I still need the diode in the wire that will come out from the regulator and go to the coil?
