heavier weights will not allow the tractor to reach operating speed. Governors use centrifugal force to compress a spring, the heavier, the quicker it closes the throttle. Governors are not good to play with without background ability and a book/manual. Pullers often make modifications to the governor, but they spend a lot of cash earning 5 dollar trophies and having fun. M&W company made a quicker responding governor system that made no more power, but did make a slight difference in performance. Before going into the guts of it get some written material, and experienceed help. No offence intended, just safety. Jim
