there can be some buildup in the block a water pump for a Sc will bolt on in place of the lower outlet a longer fanbelt will be needed this it not uncommon a waterpump will solve the problem at least it does in IOWA it is easier to remove the raidiator to do this while the lower outlet is off blow out the block you might be surprized at the junk that will come out of the block the water pump has aplace for a temp guage also new pumps are avail from CENTRAL TRACTOR
