Welcome to the 22-36 collectors community. The studs should be long enough to get a nut on. The gizmos are priming cups, they should unscrew off of the pipe nipple so the valve cover can be removed. They have to be reinstalled or the middle two cylinders will loose compression. My 22-36 has a valve cover gasket. Most gaskets are available from Gordon Rice in PA and/or the Fordson House in Michigan. Good luck Ben
