Cast iron and #2 unprepared steel is worth about $45.00 per ton delivered to a recycling steel facility. Deduct for old tires. The "M" weighs about 5000 pounds when in one piece. The tractor is worth about $110 total excluding your labor.
The value of this tractor, as one post stated, is in spare parts for a running "M". One of my older retired farmer friends gave me 5 "M"s because he knew I would not sell the tractors for parts and I am still an active farmer with a love for the older Farmalls. Buy the tractor as cheap as you can to use for spare parts for the $600 to $800 running "M".
