Are you able to immediately start her back up? If no, I concur that the coil is probably the culprit. If yes, I doubt the problem lies with the coil. Instead check right away to see if you have fuel flow to the carb. When my Cub went bad I had both a bad coil AND a horribly rusted up gas tank. At a certain point the flow is restricted enough by junk to barely let the engine run but you'd immediately stall her out with any load. Chris
