If you go to the trouble to split it, you might as well go ahead and just put a new clutch in it. I think they used two different ones. I think they were either Auburn or Rockford. Can't remember which one mine took, I replaced it about 25 years ago. Quite a job, that front end was hard to handle, the front wheels wanted to flop around quite a bit.
