Not sure if you are trying to determine the year of production of tractor, or engine. Assuming it is the tractor, look for a small plate attached to the bell housing (just behind oil-bath air filter) on the left side of the tractor. Mine is very clear - black and silver colour. If you print the serial number in a follow up to this reply, I will tell you the year of your tractor. Good luck - the smallmetal plate may have been covered with paint or grease, but it shoul be there.
