I have in my collection of old IHC manuals a rather tattered copy of the "Instructions for attaching the International Grain Shocker for McCormick Improved left-hand grain binder Deering New Ideal left-hand grain binder"
This is dated 4-3-19 i.e. 1919. It is 28 pages long covers instructions and lists and illustrations of repair parts. I have never seen a shocker apart from photograhs and do not know how popular they were or how well they worked. They did not seem to be in production for very long which may be telling us something. The idea did not seem to copied by other manufacturers either.
