Rusty and Zach are on it. I would go with 10W-40 if you live in the north (Central Canada) and need it to start in the winter, or 15W-40 every where else. Brand is less important than quality. Change the filter as well (be sure there is a new canister seal, a square section "O"ring) and be sure to fish out the old filter can seal from its groove. Jim
