If you are *backing* the tractor off, do NOT let the clutch out against a dead engine to stop yourself. The tractor could flip over on top of you.
You'll have a winch on the front of the trailer, right? Okay, park the trailer facing uphill and let the tractor roll off, controlling it with the winch.
If you don't have any hills, you can chain the tractor to a tree and pull it off, but use the winch to keep the tractor from running away... Without that winch, as soon as the tractor hits the ramps, it will roll right down and into the tree!
