Hey Jon, I have a Super C that had one tire mounted backwards. I took off the rim and left the wheel in place, though I did slide it out a few more inchs on the axle to get a little wider stance. I then had to take the same one off again when I developed a bad leak at the axel seal. This time I jacked it up and took off the tire, rim and wheel all in one. Came off fine but was a bear getting it back up on the axel and getting it started on again. I'm 6'3 and 220 lb. and it was all I could do. I know yours will weigh much more than my Super C. You might have some help around and a clear work area cause if it starts to lean your going to want a clear path to high tail it away from it. My 8 year old son Blake has helped me with my restoration but I didn't even want him around when I got that thing up on jack stands and rolling those big wheels around.I would hate to spill my red machine but I couldn't stand the thought of my son being around it if it happend.
