I used a Super A with a 5 ft Woods belly mower for seven years to mow my 5 acres. Then I bought an IH 140 and sold the Super A for more than I paid for it. I put the same 5 ft belly mower on the 140 and used it for 12 more years and then sold that for about what I paid. I recommend the Super A or 140 over the Cub. The Cub just does not have enought power to do the mowing job that you can do with the A or the 140. I think you can still buy a new Woods mower to fit the A or 140. It comes in either a 5 or 6 ft. It's a chore to set it up, as I did mine myself. But once you get it going it'll mow for a long time. The belt setup looks terrible, but it works. The belts on mine lasted about 5 years. To use these mowers, the tractor must have the belt pulley attachment. Expect to pay $3000 to $4000 for a good Super A or 140.
