Well I got my "new" Regular home safe. It starts and runs ok, not perfect, if I pull it, but so far have only been able to hand start once , when it was hot. I will go through all the mechanical checks when I get time (spark heat ,compression, etc)but for now wondering if my technique is off? P.O. said it starts on 2-3 cranks, and yes,I believe him ! He said:open gas,set spark 1/2 way retarded, throttle to 6 notches, choke full cold and half when warm, press impulse down, turn til impulse clicks, then crank. Sound right ? Never had a Regular or hand start only tractor before, or one with a Mag.Thanks
