at the drum there will be a threaded rod coming out of a rubber boot. tighten the nut as required and set both sides the same. if the nuts are screwed in all the way, means you need a brake job. those pics show nothing about your brakes, or where to adjust. that rod is just to lock the brakes on by stepping on brakes and pulling up on rod.
