1. 10W seems awful light, but if that is what the manual recommends, I guess you ought to listen. 2. Was it leaking there before? 3. If it wasn't, you may have added oil that was too light, or it may be overfilled. 4. I don't know too much on this subject so we'll wait for someone else to chime in, but I if the hole has threads, there should be something in it at some point doing some thing (for example, a fill plug, level plug, drain plug, a covering for an access hole, etc.) Good luck, SF
