I recently started restoration of a Farmall MD. I find that it has disc brakes! The serial number says this tractor was built in 1947 (fdbk 136130). It should thus have the band type brakes. The casting that houses the brakes is not like those on the super series or the later number series. The only ID that I can find is the casting number BP 66990AR (right hand side) and BP 66991AL (Left Hand side) The word "patented" and the number "1" is also stamped in the casting. Anyone know the source of this brake system??
