Easy fix...If I remember correctly, when disassembled, you have easy access to the mating surfaces. As long as you don't have any real big nicks, etc to deal with, take some fine grit sand paper or emory cloth and lay it on a flat surface. Rub each surface of the carb over the sand paper on the flat surface...the high spots will be taken out and you should be left with a good mating surface....just make sure that you take off even amounts of metal to prevent float binding, etc... Some people also use two gaskets, but try this first...BB
