Just bought an IH 3444 backhoe. It has the BC144 gas engine. The oil bath air cleaner is missing. The two salvage yards I usually use did not have any 3444 parts. If I can't find an air cleaner assembly for a gas 3444 would one from a gas 444 fit? The guy at one of the salvage yards suggested it but he wasn't sure if it would work and said he'd need to do more checking.
